Hey
there!
You’ve found the
entry point to what matters in my life. And because we’re
sharing space and time, I invite you in earnest to explore
further. You can see some of what I write and what I teach at the University of California Santa Cruz.
If you’re interested
in spreading the butter about the organic food movement, I’ve
posted my syllabus to “The
Meaning of Food.” In this class, which I teach at
the University of California, Santa Cruz, students write about
how the food we grow, harvest, buy, cook, and eat shapes culture.
Coming soon:
Food & Farms
In my world of farmers markets, I often come across savory factoids
about “food and farms,” even
a recipe or two from the customers who buy vegetables grown
at my son’s farm, Dirty
Girl Produce.
Family
In my “family” link, I’ll
be writing tips and tricks I’ve been picking up
along the way from my three young grandsons. I’ve made
safe passage to the blissful peak of grandmotherhood. I’ll
include pictures of my two dog grandkids, Poncho and Pixie, the
smartest farm dogs you’ll ever run into, and their sidekick
Earl, the gnarliest tomcat this side of the Santa Cruz Mountains.
Blog
I'll list my favorite children’s parks and favorite family
adventures from San Francisco to Baja. My weblog is a sauté of
these things—writing, grandchildren, children, marriage,
art, farm and food. Dig in. I hope to hear from you soon.
‘til
then,
Robin
